The Round Tuit Ranch is a very busy place!
This year has brought the addition of 2 acres of grass pasture and the clearing of an additional 2 acres. I am getting closer to the goal of having ALL the horses out on grass pasture, three seasons. With Fall approaching rapidly the new lot will be stumped and seeded in no time. I love looking out and seeing the horses grazing!
Fans have been added to the to indoor ring to help cool things off in
this extremely hot weather.
Thanks to all who helped get these projects done!
A big welcome to Joanne and Karen who joined us early this month. What
welcome additions to our family here at the Round Tuit!
Congratulations go out to Kari & Scarlett, and Kenzie & Oz on their
Division Championships. I knew you could do it!
Good Luck to Brittany at The Richard Shrake Resistance Free clinic being held
at Mt. Holyoke College August 1-4. What a great opportunity to learn from the
best!
Come Join us for the fast growing sport of Cowboy Mounted Shooting. Bring
your horse along to one of our clinics and learn how to pack a six shooter and
fire it from a running horse! Fast paced and exciting, this sport has a lot to
offer. With divisions for every skill level CMSA is bound to be the next
greatest equestrian hit for beginner and expert, young and old!
The Hunter Pace dates are set: September 23rd and November 4th,
with rain dates set for the following day. I hope everyone will enjoy the
beautiful trails of Elm Knoll farm with the perfect wood chipped footing. I
had such a great response last year that I decided to make this a yearly
event!
Don’t forget the Connecticut Equine Trade show being held at the Four
Town Fair grounds in Somers. This promises to be a special event that you
don't want to miss. Vendors, clinicians, and local performers are coming to
there to entertain and educate you. Look for my booth and clinics at the
show!
Thinking of owning a horse? I am now offering a few select lease options
on some of the horses here at the ranch. Leasing is a great way to "get
your feet wet" in the horse world without the financial investment.
Leases include horse, all of the upkeep, use of facilities with indoor /
outdoor rings and miles of trails, vet, shoes, supplements, and training. What
a great way to get back into, or to start out with horses! Contact me or
check our “FOR SALE” page for more information.
